What is SEO? How does it work?

To put it very simply, search engine optimization is a marketing process of making a website visible for search engines in the vastness of the internet. Depending on the market segment, keyword competitiveness and the general state of the website, an average marketing process takes from 1 to 5 weeks. After this process, the client can start feeling the advantages of optimized website for search engine.

What is the main goal of SEO?

The goal of every project is to raise the website of the client to the top position of the search engine and to popularize the market segment of the client’s business, both locally and internationally.

SEO project achieves this goal, when it goes through 4 simple stages:

I. Internal SEO audit.

In this stage, the current state of website’s internal structure is assessed. Current keywords and meta keywords, slogans, site map, general content of the website - all is assessed and a primary suggestion on required SEO methods is made. Duration of SEO audit - 2-4 working days.

If the client agrees with suggested SEO methods, the consultant can move along to the second stage of the project.

II. Internal and external content management

Internal content must be arranged in accordance to SEO rules and be search engine-friendly, including meta keywords and headlines. External content must be in alignment with the internal text and must also be aesthetical. All the content must follow basic rules of logic, not just serve as technical keywords for search engine’s recognition criteria.

SEO experts arrange texts for the website in accordance to client specifications and align it with content management system (CMS) used for the construction and maintenance of the website. If all is successful, SEO consultant can move on to the following stage of the project.

III. Online marketing strategy

In this stage, after all the content is fixed and the keywords are working to make it easier to find the website project on the search engine, marketing strategy of the project is compiled and suggested to the client. It involves finding and uploading external links on various online shoutboards, forums and chat rooms, making the website project visible to the general public and increasing the chances of finding website information via search engines.

After links have been scattered around the internet, the final stage of the project can begin.
